I'm simply trying to sign in for the first time on my new Macbook Pro. I have my correct username and password. I received email confirmation that the activation was complete. I sent a request to reset my password, no email received. I loved Firefox on my other Mac. Please advise. It's so much better than Safari.

Such e-mail is always sent to the address on file with the web site.

Any username/password issues should be posted here with password in the heading, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors
