firefox says blocker going to another site, from gmail. how do i stop this?

Email from firefox said to click on bar to verify my email with them. Message said firefox blocked me going to another site. How do I stop this and have access to other sites, I have got this message several times while trying to verify other accounts. Thank you. I have windows 10

I have only seen this happen when a url tries to take you to a blocked site. There is a setting however that stops redirects:

  1. Go to the FIrefox preferences from the three bar menu or put this in a new url: about:preferences#advanced
  2. under General there is a setting "Warn me when sites try to redirect or reload the page"
