the tool bar is not visable if mouse passes over the space can JUST be seen and works how do i make it visable
not shore what i did but the tool bar became absent if i roll the mouse along the bar each heading eg file tool etc becomes distortedly faintly visable and will function the names are unreadable but the dropdown lists are . how do i make the headings visable tried options which is ticked

Try Tools|Options|Advanced->General and disable hardware acceleration.
Hi thanks but under tools/ options /advanced>general i have system intergration // advanvced configeration and scrolling and configeration editor and receipts only But in this pane i can see file/edit/view/etc normally tho not in the main window norman
where is the hardware acceleration in rthunderbird

Here is what I see. How is yours different?
HI again Found it altered it in about config no help still absent on thunderbirds main screen but they are visable on write and address book screens odd!
ialtered two files in about config gfx.direct.disabled and layers.acceleration.disabled both to true
