Firefox 29.0 and 29.01 don't appear to save cookies for several sites I visit regularly that requre login & every time I visit them it means 2-step verification. It looks like the deed is done but the next time I visit those sites, I have to again go through 2-step verification. I have Firefox set to remember history, which is supposed to include saving cookies, etc.

I found that after Firefox v29, a LOT of my settings and
add-ons were changed / reset. Try this; Start Firefox in Safe Mode
While you are in safe mode;
Firefox Options > Advanced > General.
Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Then check ALL of your settings. Browser and add-ons. Then restart.

One last thing. In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.
