It looked like the counterclockwise version of the "refresh" button with a down arrow to browse through a list. It is no longer given as an option when customizing the toolbar.

I'm unable to find any documentation concerning such a button. There is a recently closed tabs option in Firefox > History that may be what you are looking for.
