Am using MS Entourage now that allows me to view source code. An excellent security feature in my view; I don’t need to open email and I can make sure links are valid.

My iMac is almost dead and newest OSX doesn’t support Entourage so I’m trying to find new email program that includes this feature. Hoping Thunderbird is the answer. (Apple Mail doesn’t have it.)

Two things.

1. Ctrl+U opens the source, as does the entry on the view menu.

2.Regardless what you do you must "open" the email to view it's contents or source. But this is the same reality with Entourage, just Microsoft do not update their read flag because it makes folk feel like they are somehow cheating the spammers if the read flag is not updated. Nothing is further from the truth. To have viewed the source the program has to open the email to access the source code.
