Unless I use private setting when reading the Times(I am a subscriber) I get all sorts of distortions and impediments to control my viewing. Also I am unable to print recipes or any other special services. I pay my subscription i should have unencumbered access to all sections of the paper

You cannot stop websites from changing your browsing experience because of an ad blocker addon installed on your browser.

Websites don't like users using ad blocking software because it impacts their revenue. The only way to stop this would be to disable your ad blocking software or adding the website to your ad blocker's whitelist.

Sorry for any inconvenience.
