I copied my Thunderbird profile from my old computer on to flash drive. When I tried to load it into the profile of my new computer, I did it wrong and overwrote the name of the profile. Now Thunderbird can't load the profile (missing or inaccessible). I still have all the files and folders for the profile but do not have its folder name. Can you help please? I am using Windows 10 and the latest version of Thunderbird.

Cheers

You need to copy the profiles.ini file as well because this file is used to register profiles. Thunderbird won't find profiles that aren't listed in the profiles.ini file, so you either need to edit the profiles.ini file or use the Thunderbird Profile Manager to create a new profile and click the "Choose Folder" button to browse to this copied profile folder and select it.

It is basically the same procedure as stated here for Firefox.

Note that you created this question under Firefox support, so I've moved it to Thunderbird support.
