The only way I can see the vertical scrollbar is if I have the window maximized (which mean I cannot see it if I have two windows open, say watching a YouTube video while checking on Facebook), and the horizontal scrollbar has vanished completely.

This issue can be caused by the Babylon Toolbar extension

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
