Firefox cannot open any website or options menu. I tried to reinstall it multiple times. I removed Mozilla folders from "Programs Files", "Program Files (x86)" and from %appdata%. I tried installing both 32 and 64 bit version. I tried creating new profile and removing the default. I managed to open options once in safe mode just after one of many reinstallations of Firefox. I tried to disable hardware acceleration (also didn't work). After uninstalling the application I found Mozilla folder in many locations (for example C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local and C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow) i tried removing this as well. Somehow after opening Firefox for the first time after installation I got an information displayed on the bottom of the browser that said that Mozilla was previously installed on my computer and asking if I want to restore my settings. I also tried to run firefox with disabled antivirus software (I use Kaspersy) and it didnt work.

This is an old netbook (acer aspire one 772) with windows 10. I recently decided to update its software and make it usable again. Firefox was installed on this computer but gui looked old so I decided to update it. I couldnt find the option for that in the application so I decided to uninstall it, download a new version from firefox website and install it again (and thats the moment when problems started).

So when you were removing did you also delete the Mozilla folder from both the program files directory and program files x86 directory before reinstalling firefox?

To be more specific: - I removed folder called "Mozilla Firefox" from program files manually -the "Mozilla Maintance Service" form x86 got removed atutomaticly during uninstalling (so I just checked it wasn't there anymore).

If you clean install firefox x86 or x64 there shouldn't be any folder Mozilla in either location if there is then that will cause problems.

I removed Mozilla folders from both locations before installation.
