despite updating Flash Player the website I access asks for update
Hi, Normally when I get a message saying update flash player to view this weather website, I can view it after the update. This time it still says it needs v8 or greater.
Update is not V8 though but 28.0.0.161 and I update Flash, revisit website and still it says need to update v8 or greater, so do it again, reboot pc this time, still it fails. Try IE for the website and oh joy, it loads.
I speak to the operator of the site, he cant see his site, he does the flash update, and also gets this failure to view the site. he also then tries IE and cant view it, yet IE worked for me. I am with IE 11.0.9600.17358
My firefox is my normal choice and is current 58.0.2 64bit Win7 64bit pro OS.
What is going on ?

Hi, I see I forgot to reactivate my plugins when sussing why I get Secure Connection failed launching firefox after bootup (google home page).
now I make it always active the page loads !
that was the cause.
Wish someone could solve that issue though.

Type about:support in the address bar and press Enter. Under the main banner, press the button; Copy Text To Clipboard.. Now in the Reply Box on the forum page, do a right-click in the box and select Paste.

This probably has nothing to do with it, but just in case : When you're on that site, do you see an icon that looks like a little grey Lego block, at the left end of the address bar (between the 'i' in a cricle and the padlock) ?

Hi, I have done the copy to clipboard, also looked for leggo symbol (I know the one you mean) and attching screen image of what I have less the 'nothing' areas. sent this off yet I see it hasnt shown so doing it again.
even in IE there is no leggo icon.

In case you haven't already, could you check the current global permission setting for Flash in Firefox? Open the Add-ons page using either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins.
On the right side, look for "Shockwave Flash" and if its permission is "Never Activate", change that to "Ask to Activate".
Then try a site that uses Flash to see whether it is recognized. For example, Adobe's help page:

If Shockwave Flash is not listed on the Add-ons page, Plugins panel, the next step would be to investigate why not, so let us know if you need that info.
