I changed my Gmail account password. I went into Thunderbird and changed my saved password, but I am still unable to get emails. I use the 2 step verification with my Gmail account, but turning that off did not change anything.

Anyone know how to restore email access after changing the password? None of the forums have provided an answer that works.

Upgrade to version 52.1 if you haven't already. There were some issues with logging into gmail with older versions.

The latest version of Thunderbird will still not connect with my gmail account. Same problem.

I was mistaken. With the new update the Google window that pops up is functional now. Thunderbird is back in business.
