I had wine spilled on my old computer and it no longer works but I was able to transfer all of my files and information onto an external hard drive after. Is it possible to find and transfer my bookmarks to my new computer from the information I was able to save, or are they gone forever since I wasn't able to make manual backups?

Your data including passwords, bookmarks etc., are contained in your Profile folder. You can recover the files from that. See Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data and Managing Profiles
