How do I get important gmail notifications?

When I receive important gmail emails, I get notifications both sound and a popup in the lower-right corner, even if no Firefox window reaches that spot. Next to that popup X there's a ⋯ button and clicking it has 2 settings options and neither of those leads to something which could point to how I get notified. In about:config I entered "gmail" and got "extensions.webextensions.ExtensionStorageIDB.migrated.checkerplusforgmail@jasonsavard.com" but it's not showing in enabled extension.

How can I dis/enable it and possibly change the settings of what notifies me of important gmail emails?

The answer was on Get notifications for new email - Google Workspace Learning Center section On the web. See attached, the final step is clicking Allow.
