We had "manually resort folders" in v102. And now, with v115 forced upon us. (This morning, when I opened Thunderbird, it was updated to v115 overnight without my knowledge. And the folders are not the way I left them nor how I want them. So I need to fix this. But the add-on no longer works. So what is Mozilla doing about this?

Wrt the addon you'd have to check with the add-on author if and when an updated version of the add-on will be available.

Alternatively you could wait until Thunderbird implements reordering folders, and thus eliminates the need for an add-on, see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1846550 When this will be available in the release version I don't know.

As a third option you could switch to Betterbird, which has this functionality already implemented. Check their release notes. https://betterbird.eu/
