I'm migrating to a new computer and from Windows 10 to W11. I have successfully exported/imported the contacts using the export tool, but cannot figure out how to ex/im the calendar. I am using a SanDisk drive to move the files. Both systems have TBird 102.1.2 (64-bit).

Please give step-by-step instructions to do the calendar (only) ex/im. I do not use the Mail feature.

Hi, To export a calendar from Thunderbird use the steps descibed here under "Exporting a calendar under Thunderbird and Lightning".

To import, start Thunderbird on your new computer. Go To "Events and Tasks", click on "Import" and select the .ics-file you created during export.

what about using the import export profile option Tools menu > export. Piecemeal is never the best approach, despite folk asking for it all the time.

I used the Export tool. It created a Zip that I imported and I ended up with my contacts, but an empty calendar. I've seen something that there is a way to create a .ics file for the calendar data, but the instructions don't get me to creating such a file. Walk me thru the steps. I must be missing something obvious.

Thanks. This process worked. Seems like I used it before, but no matter.

I follow Tom's chosen solution steps for moving calendar from win 10 to Mac OS but on import it says there are no importable data in the .ics file?
