What is *.tmp files in profile folder in Thunderbird? Size of this files is similar to INBOX. And size of the folder may be 10 times bigger then real size of INBOX. How to fix it? Screenshot in attach

I somehow doubt that you need any of those *.tmp files. However, since I don't know what creates them and why I can't tell for sure. First of all make sure to create a full backup of your Thunderbird profile. Then you should reduce the size of your Inbox. An Inbox size of 5 GB is asking for trouble. Best practice is to keep Inbox as tidy as possible.

And whether more tmp files appear after you delete the current ones.
