Enter about:config in the address bar and set browser.translations.automaticallyPopup = false.

Hello, thanks for the answer. As far as "about:config" all is fine. The advanced preferences shows up. Than, for "set browser.translations.automaticallyPopup = false", nothing happen. Any other clue? Many thanks. Alain

Did you find the browser.translations.automaticallyPopup preference and switch it to True? Then nothing else should happen and you shouldn't see the translation window anymore.
