By default, pages are in mobile view mode. The desktop mode button doesn't apply to all pages and it is not permanent.

Can you please move this to settings with a permanent desktop mode on/off switch that applies to ALL & future pages?

Hi

This is unlikely to be included in a future update. The desktop mode is to help with sites that have not considered mobile device use - many more have and mobile users get a better experience with a mobile view.

This permanent on/off feature needs to be an option for those who prefer desktop mode all the time.

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers. If you want to leave feedback for developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select either Share ideas and feedback… or Submit feedback…, depending on your Firefox version. Alternatively, you can use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.
