I currently have Firefox for Android that I was able to download a couple months ago via fennec (version 68). I do not have nor do I wish to have a Google Account, which is required in order to utilize Google Play. Does anyone have a safe, secure way to get the later versions? The fennec link is still at version 68, and it appears that it will not be changed. Thanks

1) One option is the FDroid app store. In that store, Firefox for Android is still called "Fennec" but the latest version is now actually 82.1.1 (i.e. Fenix).

2) Another is to download the releases from Github: https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/releases

See this thread for some background on that: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1305577

Note that if you take that second approach, you won't be notified of available updates, so you'll need to take care of manually updating yourself. If you use FDroid, you can set yourself up to get notifications of updates, and to automatically download them if you choose.
