Greetings, This BBC national news webpage loads ok but near the bottom is a section for local news. This local news updated every time the page was loaded up to a few versions ago, but now remains static while the main news updates. Re-entering the location details fetches the latest local news immediately. I have not changed any settings and the process works normally in IE, Chrome and Opera. I've read on a forum somewhere that it is possible to revert to an older version, but that would mean perhaps losing security fixes, which I don't want to do. Is there a fix I can try please? Thanks.

Windows 7, FF 30.0.3, URL http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk/

the-edmeister,

Thank you for your suggestions, but unfortunately they don't have any effect.

The page reloads but still with the old local news content. It's now Sunday morning here and the local news and weather is still from last Wednesday. Thanks again though.

Caison.

Are you using a bookmark to open that page?

Did you try to clear the BBC cookies?

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

cor-el,

Thank you for your suggestions, but again no good.

Yesterday, I deleted all BBC cookies and restarted FF and used the bookmark to access the BBC page. Page loaded correctly, that is up to date. This morning when it should have moved on a day, the local news and weather was still yesterday's, the national news was fine.

I have an old Ubuntu box and yesterday when I loaded the BBC page in FF 30.0 it was correct and this morning has correctly updated the local news, etc.

Seems like something's happened between 30 and 32?

Thanks for your time, Caison.

Did you try to delete the bookmark and navigate manually to the web page by typing the name in the location bar?

Then you can bookmark the page again and see if the new bookmark works.

cor-el,

I have deleted the bookmark from the top bar, deleted all cookies and history, restarted FF and typed in the BBC url.

The BBC news UK page loads with up to date national news but needs me to manually input my location at the lower end of the page in order to serve local news and weather. Having done this, up to date local info is provided.

That was yesterday, this morning it's yesterday's news, it hasn't auto updated. Re-entering the location brings up to date data.

I have now tried FF on another Win7 computer and the same thing happens. Are you able to reproduce this problem cor-el?

Thanks again for your time with this, Caison.
