I am currently using Firefox 9.0.1. For some reason the little site icons next to the site names listed in my Bookmarks folder have stopped appearing. Is there any way to restore them.

You should take a look at this article that discusses some of the issues with the latest build of Firefox.

There is some information in there that should help you to resolve your issue. Luckily, it is a very easy fix.
