How do I change my settings from a proxy server to a regular server?

My parents home computer was working just fine and now out of no where when you open Mozilla we get an error message that says.......Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections. Help!

You can change Firefox's proxy settings under:

  • (For Windows) Tools (or New Fx Menu) > Options
  • (For Mac and Linux) Edit (or New Fx Menu) > Preferences
  • Under the Advanced > Network, click "Settings" in the Connection category
