Uninstalling Firefox doesn't normally affect your profile folder, which is where the problem resides. Even if you create a new profile, if your system is infected, the new profile could be infected as soon as you open it.

Hi,

Usually, the said Trovi (aka, Trovi Search) is bundled with the stubborn Conduit Toolbar and many other variants of it -- you can check out 'em at ourtoolbar[dot]com. Also, starters were suffering the trouble when trying to removing Conduit Search Protect. Well, the above stuff are the two main reasons why your browser got infected with conduit-related issues.

Meantime, uninstalling your FF client does NOT resolve those problems. Instead, you should examine your programs list, remove the mentioned Conduit Search Protect if you detect it, and/or use FF's Add-on Manager to delete things created by Conduit.
