Zoomed image bugs with Firefox 19.0: 1. image is centred on page not in my screen; 2. touchscreen scrolling image does not work, as it slides the page under the image instead of the image. (Zoom in & out does work however.)

E.g. I see the problem with the ECG trace image on this page http://hcwetherell.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/ecgclass-case-25.html

Seen with Android 4.0.3 on Samsung Galaxy S 3.

Unfortunately this is Blogspot's issue. They treat Firefox for Android the same as Desktop Firefox. In addition instead of providing a direct link to the image they use a floating method which does not work well on mobile devices. Letting Blogspot know this at http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/blogger gives them a chance to fix the issue.

A work around for the time being

  • tap on the image once
  • long tap on the image and select 'copy image location'
  • open a new tab and long tap to paste the image location into the address bar
  • press the keyboard enter key or the right pointing arrow in the address bar

This will open the image directly and allow Firefox for Android to better allow zooming and panning on the image.
