I've just switched to Firefox from IE, have re-started, and now Adobe Flash Player will not download.

I installed Firefox, and went to use a web-page. I was informed that I need to install the latest Flash player, so I went to the Adobe site. Adobe's installer would get to the 12% mark and stop.

I went to my Control Panel and uninstalled my previous version of Adobe Flash, tried again, same failure to download. I also can't access IE anymore, Firefox appears and has apparently beaten up and subdued Internet Explorer... which is not really an issue, but I'd like to get Adobe set up on my machine. I never had such a problem with IE.

Thanks for your time.

Hi,

Please try this site: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

Here you can choose the OS in Step 1 and try to download the Flash installers separately for Firefox and Internet Explorer and install. Please note that Firefox and IE need separate installations of the Flash Player.

Thanks for the help Vivek, I had a shot at that, but the download "Times Out" at 12%. Any other ideas?

You can check if the file has been fully downloaded. The download location would be the one listed in Firefox Tools (Alt + T) > Options > General. Please also check if you are able to download from other sites in Firefox. If the problem persists please also try in Windows Safe Mode with Networking and later install it in normal mode.
