When I edit a web page, like Craigslist I can't see my changes until I close all the Craigslist pages/tabs/windows and then close and reopen Firefox. Then open Craigslist and find my post and open it in order to see my changes.

There's a setting in IE to always open/load the web page from the website instead of opening it from the local cache/history but I can't find a setting in Firefox 3.6.18 to force opening the web page from the site.

Could someone tell me how to do this in Firefox?

Thanks in advance John

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.

  • Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)

This may not work for pages that use frames to display content.

Thanks for the quick response. Hopefully this does the trick. Changed the browser.cache.check_doc_frequency to "1" in about:config.
