Now every time I type i.e. "r" the page reloads! There are other keyboard shortcuts too - every key that isn't bound by a shortcut types normal.

This means that whatever I type wherever when using Firefox I can't type the letters that are bound by a shortcut (which is executed without holding down a modifier key!).

This does not happen in any other application I use, including the Google Chrome browser.

Press/strike the control keys repeatedly just to be sure they are not sticking.

Found that the problem was related to the homepage I was visiting - no problems when visiting in Chrome but Firefox no longer works for that site, this is very strange.

BTW I know this fix, but the stuck modifier keys is a Windows "feature" which has been with us since Windows 2000 (AFAIK) all the way to the latest Windows 10 version and affects anything you type within the OS, not just in one application. Never had this happen in Ubuntu (or any other Linux distro).

What page is that? We may need to create a bug report.

Unfortunately it's a corporate intranet page, so it's not accessible from the internet - but it's a time/project management system called TimeLog (though a bit dated version, not very recent)...

Tricky. Check with your IT about updating that program. Or even checking with its support.
