How can I get rid of the annoying firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page every time I click something in my gmail?
This is very annoying to have to click a button EVERY time I click anything from my gmail email. This is Firefox right out of the box. I can't believe every user is having to deal with this. I tried adding exceptions to everwhere I could find for https://mail.google.com and mail.google.com etc... but NOTHING works. About to uninstall honestly. This shouldn't be a problem that I can't fix.

Hello goodpasture,
Would you please do this :
Type in the address bar about:config and press Enter (promise to be careful, if asked)
Type in the search bar and look for the preference :
accessibility.blockautorefresh
and make sure its value is set to true
If you had to change the value, then close and restart Firefox.
'Hope that helps .....

Then that is something email caused problem - firefox is a Browser not a email program. And since we can't see or read your gmail that is data privacy so no one can see what your actually doing. I click on a gmail email and it opens no redirects. So you either got bad gmail settings or malware infection.

It worked but not sure why it was ever that way in first place. I just uninstalled again after having to enter my code on Amazon for the 3rd time in 2 days. Chrome never causes me these troubles. I want to like Firefox and I'll try it again in 6 months and see if anything has changed. I thing I have done this for the past 10 years now at least. Thanks for the reply.
