You can use the Tools menu if the menu bar is showing instead to the orange Firefox button. Only the Options menu item is important.

Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.

To see all the History and Cookie settings, select:

  • Firefox (Tools) > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"

How to get to (Tools)? I click orange (Firefox). I get (options) under (add-ons). Nowhere in the dropdown box an I find the word (Tools).
