Stupid Firefox 61 gives me blank newtabs. No option I have tried from all the forums works. Did a firefox refresh, and now have lost absolutely everything - bookmarks, preferences, addons, every thing.

What browser should I use that doesn't update every month or so, with problems every month or so?

Hi, I just answered your question already with a different title question.

You could have included this with that question as you will get the same answer , you should always backup and that has been a rule of thumb since the 90's. It is a computer program, it is not infallible nor are the Developers.

So answered and ignoring your last question. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1223407

So since everything is gone then please do this and start fresh : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 61.0.0 with a Full Version Installer
