How do you set Thunderbird to use as default the language that was last used for spellchecking?

I write emails in different languages and often I find myself writing a sequence of emails in the same language (which is not necessarily the default one). When this happens I'm forced to manually change the language to the needed one for every single email I write. Is there a way to have the last used language for spellchecking as the default one until I change it again manually?

I think behavior recently changed but I don't remember what version. Have you tried version 45?
