Firefox automatically reshows bookmarks toolbar any time I save a bookmark using the "Star" option even though it is set to not display.

I have to manually turn it off even though it is turned off.

Can you PLEASE honor my setting by NOT turn it on in the first place?... in other words, without having to manually turn it off again!

This gets very annoying and it wastes space when displaying web pages.

Thank you!

The rumble video interview of Jonathan Cahn by Greg Hunter is NOT visible in my linux version 91.12.0esr(64-bit) of Mozilla Firefox, straight from an openSuse software repository and directly installable under yast, which is their administrator program over the linux software including the software manager

The web page in question is https://usawatchdog.com/only-way-to-save-america-is-turn-back-to-god-jonathan-cahn/ but the java script code is grayed out on this page

!function(r,u,m,b,l,e){r._Rumble=b,r[b]||(r[b]=function(){(r[b]._=r[b]._||[]).push(arguments);if(r[b]._.length==1){l=u.createElement(m),e=u.getElementsByTagName(m)[0],l.async=1,l.src="https://rumble.com/embedJS/ugdmvn"+(arguments[1].video?'.'+arguments[1].video:)+"/?url="+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+"&args="+encodeURIComponent(JSON.stringify([].slice.apply(arguments))),e.parentNode.insertBefore(l,e)}})}(window, document, "script", "Rumble");

I have used other browsers, such as Opera, Brave, Google Chrome and the rumble video is clearly visible and playable.

What do I have to change in Firefox so that this video becomes visible on the page?

Randall

The following funtions do not and have not worked for a long time:

1) Deleting web history: nothing works to delete websites either individually, for time periods or using any other decision criteria

2) Organizing bookmarks alphabetically: None of the suggestions or procedures listed as a method to do so work. I've tried several times-no result.

3) Recovering open webpages after an update or any other time. This doesn't work either. Last time I tried, the only thing that worked was to search history and reactivate the website.

It's hard to understand why none of these funtions, which used to work, no longer do so. I'm seriously contemplating using another browser.

A disappointed customer.

I need some things to look at. Debian 11.4 Bullseye 16 CPU 72GB I just got the Mate desktop working. Thought I'd find a cool wallpaper. Site said it needed to load an extension. I tried to escape but now my firefox fails to load even in troubleshoot mode. It builds the window frame I can almost touch the menu and gone.

Checked .mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports/ and it's empty checked .mozilla/extensions/ and it's emtpy Got an install time InstallTime20220718130424

as I click on Firefox Icon in menu the screen pops alert that says: "Firefox closed unexpectedly while starting....try to resolve the problem in troubleshooting in SafeMode."

tailing syslog: tail -f /var/log/syslog gives this clue: oom-kill:constraint=CONTRAINT_NONE, task=firefox-esr total-vm:672432kb Kernel Out Of Memory killed process pgtables:840kb oom-score_addj:0

I can add more detail if I know where to look. OOM with 72GB ?
