i have set my top sites repeatedly and it deletes mine and adds in stuff like google, reddit, utube etc. i want my 2 rows of fave site to remain and always be there. I am not intersted in your predetermined sites i never use.

Hello piquant,

That shouldn't happen when you pin the Top Sites .....

Would you please take a look at this article and scroll down to :

Pin a Top Site

If you do not keep pinned top sites then there is possibly a problem with the prefs.js file that stores the preferences.

it still forgets my fave sites and the preference i've chosen that i want 2 rows of top sites every time i turn off the computer and reboot it. i had all the sites pinned and it only remembers about half of the ones i want and inserts a bunch i never ever use like amazon . i made sure all my sites were pinned and it still happens. thanks

The updated version of FF lost my ttop sites. and will not allow me to add them. what is wrong?

Hi jpauley85, was that the only change you noticed after the update?

As noted earlier, pinned sites are stored in the prefs.js file in your profile folder. If that file is locked or corrupted, perhaps that would cause a problem adding new pinned sites?

If you haven't already, could you close out of Firefox and do a normal Windows shutdown and restart to complete any pending updates and release any file locks.

shutdown and restart completed. No change

Hi jpauley85, what method are you using to add a site? For example, the ••• menu button at the right end across from "Top Sites" or some other way.

Are you losing any other settings between sessions?
