Hello,

To answer your question, yes, since Firefox is only available for Android (on mobile devoces). And the Kindle Fire operating system is based off of Android, so yes, you download the Android version.

Here is the direct download link for Firefox: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/latest/android/multi/fennec-35.0.multi.android-arm.apk (tap fennec-35 link)

This download link was taken from https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android And also check the above link if you would like to download other versions of Firefox, e.g. Firefox Beta, Aurora...

Please consider the Aurora build of Firefox for Android as that has an updater. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/#developer

Firefox releases updates on a 6 week schedule. Keeping the release version up to date is manual task on Kindles.

Note that manually installing Release and Beta channel builds with apk do not get updates like you do on desktop Firefox.
