Are you able to access the website on another browser? Also the website you are trying to access is a pornographic site which will limit our support as our support crew will not be accessing the site.

I can't get to it via IE either, so it's the PC. I can get to it via my smart phone just fine. i also tried totally disabling my norton security, same issue. weird thing is googling the problem only give results referring to firefox (which is a good thing for firefox, i suppose)

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try some of the following programs to scan for malware:

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Also it may be your ISP blocking it.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

smart phone was using my wifi cable broadband, so that would preclude it being a problem w/ my provider

will get back to you on the malwarebytes and antirootkit utilities. not to mention kinda pissed at norton right now lol.

Nope, TDSSKiller found a few things, Malwarebytes found nothing, still a problem. Looks like it's time to do a full reload of my system. :(

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
