I installed firefox v3.6.13 I used it briefly now I would like version 4.0 so I downloaded it to my desktop and have not opened it yet. I cannot get version 3.6.13 to uninstall, I have windows xp home edition.

If the normal method does not work, you can uninstall Firefox by deleting its files and folders, for details see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_Firefox
