I have several email addresses. I do not want one set as a default. I want to have to choose which address to send from each time.

How do I ensure no email address is treated as the default address for emails I send? In other words, I want to be forced to select from a drop down list when I compose the email message. The object is to avoid sending emails from the wrong one.

Many thanks.

There is no default account to be used for sending messages. Unless another account is picked manually, Thunderbird uses the currently selected account. There's a dropdown menu in the From: header of the Write window to manually choose a different account. There is no mechanism to be forced to select an account.
