So this started about a a few day's ago it's ALWAYS done this but not it doesn't seem to have any fix. The Adobe Flash Player in the volume mixer never save's and is always at 50% now. I'll go and put it back to 100% but if I close Firefox and go back it's back to 50%. Was already a pain when they made it not part of the Firefox tab and now this. Work's fine in chrome tho no random changes so it had to be something with Firefox.

Safe mode seem to have help I started it up and changed the volume to 100% and restarted and it seem to keep it for now.

What are the settings for local storage in the Shockwave Flash plugin?

Flash Website Storage Settings panel:

Global Storage Settings Panel:

In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":

  • do not clear the Cookies
  • do not clear the Site Preferences

Also make sure that you do not run Firefox in Private Browsing mode.

Web site's are not loading for me but I have storage set at allow sites to save information on this computer.

The only setting i have for Clear history when Firefox closes is the cache and I'm not in private Browsing .

You can check if DOM Storage is enabled.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Do you have any extensions installed that deal with cookies or otherwise affect personal data in the profile folder?

Think the only thing I have that deals with cookies is betterprivacy 1.68

I think that BetterPrivacy can also effect Flash cookies, so have a look at its settings.

Well it's doing it once again stuck at 50% even in safe mode now. So don't think it's any extensions are causing it.
