I followed the instructions to import favourites from IE but it didn't work. What did I do wrong?

All I get is a folder called "links from the united kingdom" containing three more folders which are the first second and fifth in my IE favourites list.

Incomplete importing sometimes happens (example of past thread: Only 1/3rd of my bookmarks imported from IE. How do I move the rest?). Could be related to the number/depth of folders, but I'm not sure whether anyone has definitely identified the cause(s).

For best results, export from IE to an intermediate file, which is in HTML format. Then import that file into Firefox. It will be a folder on the Bookmarks Menu, and you can use the Organizer/Library dialog to rearrange them the way you want them.
