I have the same question as here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1128139#question-reply

But it's locked for some reason. The answer provided is no longer an option in about:config. I'm assuming this parameter has changed since a few years ago.

How is this now done?

One-click selects all is the default behavior of the address bar.

Is it any different in Troubleshoot Mode?

I just so happen to be on an old laptop and realized it's not doing it on here. When I'm back at my usual PCs I'll do the troubleshooting method. I assume that's just a safe mode and likely one of my extensions causing it. I'll check back in if that didn't change anything. If I don't consider it resolved! I'll turn the extensions off one by one and test.
