firefox stated it would close, update , open and restore tabs. This happened: a message stating..XUL runner error Platform version 128.03 not compatible with min 128.0 or max 128.0

What do I need to do ?

For about the past week I've been having trouble with Gmail and Google Search in my Firefox browser. Typically, I open a Firefox window with multiple tabs and leave the window open all day. I always have Gmail and Google Calendar open in tabs. What happens is that the Gmail tab will at some point give me a message that it cannot connect and has timed out and is trying to reload, but it never reloads, it just stalls. Then I try to open a Google search bookmark to search and the tab remains blank. This happens multiple times throughout the day. Meanwhile I can open Gmail or any Google page in Chrome, which I don't like using.

Sometimes I can close out the Gmail tab that won't load and try to open Gmail in a new tab, but that stalls out too. The only way I can open Gmail again is to close out the Firefox window completely and then relaunch it, then it can open Gmail or Google... until it breaks again.

This never used to happen. I'm using the latest versions of Windows 10 and Firefox on my desktop PC. Nothing else has changed.

Please help me fix this, it's very annoying.

Had trouble with password for firefox primary password so I reset it, now when i try logging into websites on firefox that used passkey before rest, those sites will not allow passkey as an option that works.

I started getting a message today asking me for primary password in order to access saved passwords. It is not accepting the password I had used previously. Is there a way to reset primary password? What can I do to access all my saved passwords?

If an URL already have many tags or longish tags I can no longer see suggested tags when starting to type tags. Image example illustrates. This URL already have the following tag list:

1942, Air_Ministry, boost, cruise, memorandum, MP, rpm, Spitfire, Spitfire_MkIX, Spitfire_MkV, Spitfire_MkVI

Old behavior was if started to type ", spi" it would list suggestions:

Spitfire Spitfire_MkIX Spitfire_MkV Spitfire_MkVI

Easy & clear to select from.

Now it lists all already existing tags before each suggestion:

1942, Air_Ministry, boost, cruise, memorandum, MP, rpm, Spitfire, Spitfire_MkIX, Spitfire_MkV, Spitfire_MkVI,Spitfire 1942, Air_Ministry, boost, cruise, memorandum, MP, rpm, Spitfire, Spitfire_MkIX, Spitfire_MkV, Spitfire_MkVI, Spitfire_MkIX 1942, Air_Ministry, boost, cruise, memorandum, MP, rpm, Spitfire, Spitfire_MkIX, Spitfire_MkV, Spitfire_MkVI,Spitfire_MkV 1942, Air_Ministry, boost, cruise, memorandum, MP, rpm, Spitfire, Spitfire_MkIX, Spitfire_MkV, Spitfire_MkVI, Spitfire_MkVI

Suggestions are scrolled right invisible outside the input box.

Who thought this was a good new feature? It adds nothing, I can already see existing tags, why would I want to see them repeated for each new suggested tag (while not actually seeing the suggested new tag)?

How can I turn this *!$&@! off and return to old behavior?

I installed Firefox from windows app store, because it would not install from the Mozilla download. It did install however it will not connect with any web address. Absolutely none, I have tried all the typical solutions and none have worked. I had Firefox for many years. I had to uninstall and do a fresh install. I am on a desktop running Windows 10 Pro X64. Please Help! I hate Chrome, (it is working but, I hate it).

Additional: There are no error messages, just endless spinning arrow in the tab. I had to connect with Support through Chrome because Firefox will not connect with 'Help' in the dropdown menu. I have always used Firefox without 'signing in' with Mozilla, Firefox, Google, or anything and prefer to continue that way. I don't like the 'signing-in' scam; please don't tell me I have to sign-in to use Firefox.

This issue started a few weeks ago. When I receive an email in my outlook account and click on it, a new window opens but there is no content, the page is blank. I know the link is working because if I copy and paste it into a new window it works fine. Is there a setting I need to change to be able to click on a link and have it open, like it has in the past? Since it is a new issue I am not sure if it is from an update or something. Thank you

Ever since I switched to Firefox a few months ago, i've noticed that the audio on youtube music vids cuts out when I put the video on a loop sometimes. Moving the play bar to a different point/time on the video fixes it but it is extremely annoying. Can anyone help with fixes? Thanks

Everything was fine until about an hour ago. Suddenly over half My tabs quit working. Either the display is weird and all text, or the page is blank, or there is a small "broken image" icon in the upper left... A few tabs are working fine. On X I get a notice saying, "Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection (Strict Mode) is known to cause issues on x.com."

I tried turning off tracking (which was NOT "strict!!!"), and that did not fix the problem.

What is going one????

Can someone tell me what settings I need to change to get the suggestions in the URL line to sites I actually go to? I go to mediaite.com and msnbc.com multiple times a day, but if i type the letter "m," Firefox fills in "mail.google.com." I literally never type that! Where is it coming from and why won't it go away? Support says highlight it and do Shift + Delete, but using the arrows takes me to the next item, not the gmail one. what is the reason i can't make that stop? I'm over here and I'm duckduckgo because of the tracking, but this is a really basic search i do all day that is needlessly tedious and it's not the only one.

so like i asked, what settings do i need to check or uncheck to make the suggestions be relevant to stuff i actually search? this seems like such a basic thing--suggest the things they've looked at already before random stuff they they have NEVER searched.

Web pages dont look norma, they look more like an FTO download page. This is an all of a sudden issue. Another notebook, mfg, os, browser all the same, so issue is here on this notebook. Everything displayed fine, last nite, today on start up the issue started. This would include sites like ebay,paypal, youtube,, etc. Going to the browser address, pasting it into Google cheome browser, the sites display properly. This is why I keep a second vrowser. Tried the normal cleaning, cache, ccleaner+bleach it+firefox clear data, same bad display. I have grup speed dial extension, with numerous links. I would not be pleased to lose and have to rebuild them if an uninstal/ewinstall is an answer. This is an win7pro os. The image is ow pages load, this is ebay. Suggestions?

Switched on my laptop today and all open tabs in Firefox only showing web pages in text format, not images, graphics. Have restarted Firefox, rebooted laptop, cleared cache/data, checked latest version. Not touched any setting and Edge works fine with same sites. After using Firefox as by preferred browser for many years it looks like I need to find an alternative which makes me sad.

Sooo frustrated... wrote this back in 2019: I can't believe this is still a problem, I am upgrading to a new laptop and so have to go through setting google.co.uk to be my default search engine - again!? - but I can't seem to make it happen. Can someone please give me the steps again. and can someone explain why it isn't possible to just choose google.co.uk to be the default - there's a whole world out there that isn't in the .com space

surprise surprise it is still a problem and the resolution provided by jscher2000 - Support Volunteer has been moved/removed:

Add-ons site, for example: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/googleuk/ (this one gets UK suggestions, the other three I checked get .com suggestions, if suggestions matter)

I find the mycroft solution doesn't help.

can anyone help with the addon required please? and a plea to make google.co.uk available as a choice please!

After I installed an update on the morning of 7/29 I can no longer access my pop email server pop.nuvox.net

When I click on the 'Get Messages' icon nothing happens. Before the update I would get a exception message about some item not being standard and asking me to accept it, which I did, and then was able to download my email until the next restart of Thunderbird.
