Acer laptop - Windows7 - McAfee Security Center

Firefox can't make connection with internet after last update (last week). Following the instructions for this problem I discovered that Windows Firewalls is imbedded in McAfee which is out of date for a long period now. This means that the link in the Configuration window to give Firefox entrance through the Firewall ain't working. I don't have the financial possibilities to buy a McAfee update and will be obliged to use Google Chrome as a browser. This is a pity because I've been a very satisfied user of the Mozilla browser since early 2000.

McAfee Security Center it has a firewall and if you have active Windows Firewall maybe you have a conflict. If you have active McAfee you can disable Windows Firewall in security center or if you don't have supported McAfee disable it, and keep Windows Firewall & install a free trusted antivirus.
