I am using windows 7 and Firefox 7. Since the old Bookmark tabs have disappeared and they are in the library, I can not open any.

Most probably the reason for your problem is...

"Firefox stores your bookmarks and browsing history in the "Places database" file (places.sqlite), located in the profile folder. If the places database is damaged or if Firefox is unable to access the file for other reasons, many functions will not work"

You can try deleting the file... but make sure to backup just in case....

Thank you. Where on earth do I find places.sqlite?

Type %appadat% in the windows explorer bar... Then Mozilla > FireFox > Profiles > 3qur6i2s.default (or anything like that) and there you will find them...

But don't forget to back up the files that you delete...

Have tried entering %appadat% into the explorer bar but Yahoo comes up with "did you mean "app data" and then I can not get any further.

Thank you. Strangely enough Bookmark Tabs has resurected itself so every thing is O.K.
