Bookmark Toolbar bookmarks in text only?

I used to be able to reduce all my bookmarks on my Bookmark Toolbar to text only in 3.6 and still maintain the front, back, home and reload Icons on top.

In 4.0 if I enable text in the Customize menu then I lose the front, back, home and reload icons on top as everything changes to text.

Anyway to fix this problem? I can change code if necessary.
