Desktop Icons changed to some generic image after Firefox Install
One of my machines has Windows 7 installed and uses Chrome browser. Recently I had a need to install Firefox. As soon as the install completed, all of my existing Google related shortcut icons changed to some generic type. No matter what I did I could not change the shortcut icons back to their original. I uninstalled Firefox and they all came back. Any suggestions?

What happens when you right click the icon, then properties, and then Change Icon? see screenshot
I tried that, but the only thing that shows in the icon box is some Xs and Ticks. There were no real icons. When I uninstalled Firefox the shortcut icons reverted to normal.
