i do not know the plan, but i have plan B ( use alternatives ;)
there is some end-to-end encryption file transfer services.

You can ask your question about Firefox Send on the Mozilla Connect website, since the people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers.
