Night mode in some sites on iPhone

Starting last week, or earlier, Firefox in my iPhone renders some websites in night mode colours. This seems most frequent in sites accessed by Google. I have tried turning night mode on and off in as many places as I can find, without improving the situation.

No. I have set that function on and off again in as many places as I can find, without effect. It seems most often to be in sites accessed through Google. Also, I noticed that the NY Times "Wordle" now defaults to night mode, and has to be reset.
