CAnnot enable extension in private browsing

more options

Hi, the squarepage extension was recently disabled due to security concerns. The settings indicate that it can still be used in private mode. I followed the linked instructions, but there is still no enable slider.

How can I enable this ?

Thanks

jscher2000, the screen capture I included shows that Mozilla has provided, as a work-around in this case, steps to enable the extension in a private session.

I see it differently. All extensions have that option on their "Details" panel. When the user disables an extension (by clicking the "slider switch"), it disappears from both regular and private windows. I would be surprised if it works differently for an extension Mozilla disabled versus extensions that the user disabled. I could be wrong, but since private windows are generally considered to be more sensitive than regular windows, I don't see why Firefox would have an exception in this case. ??

The enable/disable setting is global and takes precedence over the regular only versus regular + private setting.

Dropa,

The link has been removed from the extensions repo, probably because of the security issue. These are available: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-CA/firefox/blocked-addon/%7B514d339d-a586-4733-b9b0-b5a3b89d989a%7D/6.2.16/

Thanks
