A DOCX link sent from a Onedrive account by email to my account on Thunderbird opens blank screen in FIrefox and other browsers, but will open the file in MS Word 'if I use MS Edge browser. Why?

Can you try the same steps using Windows 10 Mail app instead of Thunderbird to verify? I only have Thunderbird in Linux and will switch back and test.

Hello there,

Thanks for replying.

I have been in contact with Microsoft about some Onedrive issues I was having (which is where the link navigates to) and I believe this was the root cause of the problem. Now that the Onedrive issues are fixed the process is working as I would expect. It seems that the issues with Onedrive were the limiting factor and now it works correctly on Thunderbird->FIrefox and using the Win10 mail app and direct pasting a link into Chrome.

Thanks for your help.
